1. Identify the noun/pronoun used in the sentence

2. Identify the root of the verb to be used

3. Select the correct ending for the verb

If the root of the verb ends in a t or d, an e needs to be added before the rest of the verb ending for du, er, sie, es and ihr.

For example, arbeit becomes arbeitet in the ersiees form.
